Product
Why choose the XSTO M4?
The M4 is XSTO's popular smart electric chair featuring self-balancing technology for stability, foldable design for compact storage, adjustable seat height (347–650 mm), 10° slope capability, omnidirectional mecanum wheels enabling 360° rotation, app-based remote control, and detachable 4-module quick disassembly ideal for travel.
Can the M4 be used on grass, sand, or gravel?
Yes! Its robust tyres and powerful motor handle grass, packed sand, and gravel effectively. For loose sand or rough ground, reduce speed to maintain stability.
What is the M4's maximum weight capacity?
The M4 supports up to 115 kg (254 lbs) and maintains stable performance within this limit for safe operation.
How long does the M4 battery last on a single charge?
Under typical daily use (regular speed, moderate terrain), the standard 25.55V 15.5Ah battery provides up to 15 km (9.3 miles) per charge. Full recharge takes approximately 4 hours.
Can the M4 be taken on flights?
The M4 includes a standard 25.55V 15.5Ah removable battery. For air travel, a compatible lower-capacity airline battery (sold separately) is recommended. While that battery meets most airline requirements, please confirm with your airline before flying.
How soon can I receive the M4 after ordering?
Within the UK: 3–4 working days with free delivery to mainland addresses. For Scottish Highlands, Northern Ireland, and offshore islands, please contact us for delivery timescales. A tracking number will be emailed after dispatch.
What warranty is included with the M4?
The M4 is covered by the standard XSTO manufacturer warranty: 5 years on the frame and base seat structure, 1 year on electrical and mechanical parts (motors, controller, etc.), and 1 year on the battery.
Can I claim VAT relief on the M4?
Yes. If you have a long-term illness or disability, you can purchase the M4 VAT-free. Simply complete a VAT exemption declaration during checkout.
Why choose the XSTO M4B?
The M4B builds on the award-winning M4 platform with redesigned front wheels and an integrated folding footrest for easier transfers and a tidier folded footprint. It keeps self-balancing control, electric height adjustment (347–650 mm), 10° slope capability, and app-based remote control.
How does the M4B differ from the M4?

What makes the EzGo2 different from the M4 series?
The EzGo2 is an ultra-lightweight carbon fibre power wheelchair at just 11.5 kg without battery — designed for easy lifting, three-step folding (folded width 26 cm), and indoor-focused use. The M4 series is heavier, self-balancing, and built for outdoor slopes and longer-day versatility.
How light is the EzGo2?
The frame weighs only 11.5 kg without the battery (battery approximately 2.2 kg). Many users can lift it with one hand for car boots, trains, and home storage.
What is the EzGo2 weight capacity and range?
Maximum user capacity is 136 kg. The 24V 10Ah lithium battery provides up to 15 km range under typical indoor use, with a top speed of up to 4.5 km/h.
Is the EzGo2 suitable outdoors?
It is specified primarily for indoor use, with climbing capacity of about 3° and obstacle clearance of 25 mm+. For steeper slopes, kerbs, and outdoor terrain, the M4 or X12 ranges are a better fit.
Can I claim VAT relief on the EzGo2?
Yes. If you have a long-term illness or disability, you can purchase the EzGo2 VAT-free. Complete a VAT exemption declaration during checkout.
How soon can I receive the EzGo2?
When available to order now, estimated delivery is about 2 weeks. You can pay in full or place a 10% deposit; any remaining balance is due before dispatch.
Can the X12 really climb stairs?
Yes. The X12 uses caterpillar track technology to safely climb and descend stairs at angles up to 40°. The AI-powered system automatically adjusts speed and balance on each step, and a companion can monitor progress via the app.
How does the X12 handle different terrains?
The X12 is a true all-terrain machine. Beyond stairs, it handles grass, gravel, sand, mud, snow, and steep hills. The dual-track system provides exceptional traction and stability on surfaces that would stop a conventional chair.
What is the X12's battery range?
The X12 comes with dual 25.2V 25.6Ah batteries providing up to 35 km (22 miles) of range on a single charge. Both batteries charge simultaneously, and the system can operate on a single battery if needed.
How much does the X12 weigh?
The X12 weighs 112.8 kg without battery (X12 Pro: 115.8 kg). It is not designed to be lifted like the M4 series — it is built for all-terrain performance and stair-climbing capability. It can be transported in a suitable vehicle with a ramp or hoist.
Is the X12 available to buy now?
When the X12 is in stock, you can buy it for delivery in about 3–4 working days (UK mainland). If it is temporarily out of stock, pre-order is available with an estimated build time of around 10 weeks — pay in full or place a 10% deposit; the remaining balance is due before dispatch. Availability is shown on the product page.
What's included in the box with the X12?
The X12 comes with the robot, 2× batteries, charger, joystick controller, wireless key, user manual, and tool kit. The X12 is app-controlled, so no physical remote control is included.
What is the difference between the X12 and X12 Pro?
The X12 Pro adds an electric legrest and electric seat adjustment over the standard X12. Both models share the same 136 kg capacity, 40° stair capability, dual batteries, and 35 km range.
